8 March. International Women’s Day

March 8 is International Women’s Day. On this occasion a symposium organized by the University of Iceland’s Ukraine project in collaboration with RIKK – Institute for Gender, Equality and Difference and the Vigdís International Centre will be held at the University of Iceland. The programme will include presentations and discussions about women’s movements and women’s history in Iceland, Ukraine and Kosovo. The symposium will be in English and will take place in Auðarsalur in Veröld – Vigdís’ house, from 18.00 to 20.00.

Ragnheiður Kristjánsdóttir, professor of history at University of Iceland.
Iryna Hordiienko, TV producer from Kyiv.
Linda Gusia, lecturer at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Pristina.

Panel discussion with the participation of Ragnheiður Krisjánsdóttir, Iriyna Hordiienko, Linda Gusia and Oksana Shabatura.

Music performance by singer Asya Leskova.
