MarieKathrine Poppel er MA í félagsráðgjöf og aðjúnkt við félagsráðgjafadeild Háskólans á Grænlandi í Nuuk. Poppel beinir rannsóknum sínum að heimilisofbeldi – ofbeldi karla gegn konum, kynferði og jafnrétti. /

MarieKathrine Poppel, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work at the University of Greenland in Nuuk. Poppels’s research focus is on domestic violence – men‘s violence against women, gender and equality.

 

 

Grethe Kramer Berthelsen er framkvæmdastjóri meðferðarstöðvarinnar Katsorsaavik í Nuuk á Grænlandi síðan 2006. Hún hefur starfað við meðferð vímuefnaneytenda síðan 1997. /

Grethe Kramer Berthelsen is a director at the treatment center Katsorsaavik in Nuuk in Greenland since 2006. Grethe has been working in the treatment industry since 1997.

Sjúklingar með fíknivanda á dagdeild áfengismeðferðarstöðvarinnar Katsorsaavik í Nuuk á Grænlandi: félagslegar aðstæður tengdar fíkn og líkamsárásum

Árið 2013 voru 282 sjúklingar með fíknivanda í göngudeildarmeðferð á meðferðarstöðinni Katsorsaavik í Nuuk á Grænlandi. Meðferðin er kostuð af sveitarfélögum, grænlenska ríkinu, fyrirtækjum eða af sjúklingunum sjálfum.

Í erindinu beini Poppel og Kramer Bertelsen sjónum að og greina mismunandi vanda eftir búsetumynstri skjólstæðinganna með því að skoða kyn, aldur, eðli fíknivanda þeirra sem og líkamsárásir sem þeir hafa orðið fyrir. Félagsleg og hagræn lýsing er studd með opinberum gögnum og rannsóknarniðurstöðum úr nýlegri rannsókn á félagslegum aðstæðum á Grænlandi.

Sara Abelsen formaður Félagsráðgjafafélags Grænlands (N.I.I.S.I.P.) mun einnig koma með innlegg og þrír nemendur í félagsráðgjöf við háskólann á Grænlandi þær, Vivi Johansen, Rie Nielsen, Naja Aputsiaq Svane taka einnig þátt og fjalla um konur í meðferð á Grænlandi./

Addicted patients at the outpatients’ alcohol clinic, Katsorsaavik in Nuuk Greenland: socioeconomic conditions related to addiction and assaults

In 2013 282 addicted patients were in treatment in the outpatients’ alcohol clinic, Katsorsaavik in Nuuk Greenland. The treatment was paid for by the municipalities or the Greenland Government, enterprises, or by the patients.

The presentation will focus on and identify patterns in the municipal residence of the addicted, gender, age, type(s) of addiction as well as the assaults the addicted have been exposed to. The socioeconomic description will be supported by official statistics as well as data and findings from recent research into social conditions in Greenland.

The chairman of the board of the Social Workers Union in Greenland (N.I.I.S.I.P.) will participate in the lecture along with students in the department of social work in the University of Greenland, Vivi Johansen, Rie Nielsen, Naja Aputsiaq Svane will talk about women in treatment in Greenland.
